This Dior CGI visual is an independent artistic study — our interpretation of a luxury perfume bottle, created entirely without photography. It is dark. A shimmering, slightly bluish light catches the sculpted, feminine contours of the flacon. A stream of liquid gold flows around the bottle, embraces its shape, and pulls it into the spotlight. We built every element in 3D: the glass, the gold, the light, the surface tension of the liquid. The result is almost indistinguishable from high-end advertising photography.
Dior CGI visual — materials, sculpting, and light
The technical challenge here was twofold. First, we sculpted the liquid gold splash as a dynamic 3D form — frozen mid-flow, yet convincingly physical. Second, we built the glass material with accurate internal refraction and surface micro-detail. As a result, the render holds up under close inspection in the same way a studio photograph would. The making-of frames show the clay model stage and the before/after comparison between raw render and final composite. We used Blender for all modelling, shading, and rendering throughout the project.
Why luxury products benefit from full CGI production
High-end perfume and beauty products are notoriously difficult to photograph. Glass refracts light unpredictably, liquid behaves inconsistently, and the gap between a mediocre shot and a campaign-ready image requires enormous studio effort. CGI, however, eliminates those variables entirely. Furthermore, once the 3D asset exists, it adapts to any format — billboard mockup, magazine spread, social crop — without a single additional production day.
