All-weather tire rendering — CGI and photo hybrid
This all-weather tire rendering is an independent study — our take on what a Michelin all-season tire key visual could look like. No client brief, no commission. Just the question: can we communicate all seasons, all conditions, one tire in a single image? We brought the tire, the rim, and even the individual blades of grass to life using advanced 3D product visualisation.
All-weather tire rendering — seasonal mix through compositing
The tire’s environment was built from carefully selected stock images, then transformed into a fully professional image world through compositing and Photoshop post-production. As a result, the scene shows all four seasons coexisting in one frame — summer on one side, winter on the other. Furthermore, we focused throughout on lighting quality. With the right professional lighting setup, products look truly captivating and full of character. The clay model shows the 3D geometry stage before texturing and compositing. The mockup shows how the final image translates to campaign format.
Why tire brands choose CGI for product key visuals
Photographing a tire in four seasons simultaneously is impossible. CGI makes it straightforward. However, the result is a high-end product visualisation — cost-efficient and completely free of traditional advertising photography constraints. Our piece on CGI vs product photography covers this argument directly. See also our CGI auto renderings and Volvo CGI car rendering for more automotive CGI work.
