This CGI key visual started with a campaign brief from Upper Austria. The initiative asked households to swap old oil boilers for cleaner technologies. The campaign was called “Adieu Öl.” The client invited us to give it a visual voice. We built the entire scene digitally from scratch. The result is a bold, emotionally direct image. It translates a complex infrastructure shift into something anyone can feel immediately. We displayed it at trade fairs across Austria and rolled it out across print, digital, and outdoor touchpoints. The response from the client was immediate and enthusiastic — and the visual ran across the full campaign season.
CGI key visual — concept and execution
We combined CGI visualisation and key visual design to translate a critical social shift into a single compelling image. Rather than relying on conventional photography, we built the scene digitally. This gave us complete control over light, atmosphere, and symbolic composition. As a result, every decision in the final render traces back directly to the campaign message.
Why digital production works for sustainability campaigns
Energy and sustainability topics are inherently abstract. CGI, however, makes them tangible. Furthermore, digital production means no location scouting, no weather dependency, and unlimited revision flexibility. That matters when a campaign visual needs to work across print, outdoor, and digital simultaneously. The Energiesparverband Upper Austria ran this initiative to accelerate the regional energy transition. Our piece on why CGI beats a photo shoot covers the broader production case in detail.
