We just published a new 3D beverage artwork video on youtube which shows the creation process of this precious and glowing Whiskey bottle. Everything was made in 3D in Blender and we concentrated on realism in texture and lighting.
Products made from glass like drinking bottles or similar product are relatively difficult to generate in 3D space in general. In a photo studio working with light and the refractions inside the glass and liquid is much more intuitive. So we put our experience to good work and set up a lighting system that resembles a real world scenario as closely as possible.
We have developed a few techniques that have substantiated our approach to realistic-looking materials, so that it appears rather unlikely that customers notice the difference to a real photo.
